THE ROLE OF HCA

Heavy Combat Armour Doctrine

Heavy Combat Armour units occupy the battlefield space between infantry and full-scale Meks. Designed for mobility, survivability and frontline assault capability, HCA units are deployed to breach fortified positions, reinforce collapsing sectors and engage hostile mechanized forces directly.

However:
HCA units are not designed for indefinite frontline occupation.

Operational Limitations

  • Finite ammunition reserves
  • Non-regenerative ablative shield systems
  • High logistical dependency
  • Repair/rearm requirements

Because of this, HCA warfare relies heavily on:

  • deployment timing
  • support coordination
  • battlefield rotation
  • tactical withdrawal cycles
